Rotation Areas

This plan allows us to periodically detail areas which would not need an in-depth cleaning every time (i.e. baseboards, front of kitchen cabinets, under sofa cushions; etc. (See complete list on following pages.) Sections labeled “Each Time” are the tasks performed on every cleaning. The sections labeled “Rotating Basis” are tasks performed periodically when this area is on rotation, and an “Area of Rotation Slip” will be left each time.

Kitchen Rotation- Bathrooms, Laundry Rooms, Mud Rooms, Eating Areas

Each Time:

  • General dusting

  • Accessible counters wiped

  • Top and sides of range wiped

  • Outside of hood wiped

  • Floor vacuumed and mopped

  • Sink cleaned

  • Appliance fronts wiped

  • Microwave cleaned

  • Table and chairs wiped

Rotating Basis:

  • Scrub drip pans under burners

  • Clean grease filters

  • Clean inside of hood

  • Clean and polish exterior of appliances

  • Clean less accessible counters

  • Hand wipe knick-knacks

  • Hand scrub corners of floors

  • Wipe baseboards

  • Clean outside of caibinets

  • Spot check doors and doorframes

  • Spot check walls for fingerprints

  • Window sills and ledges hand wiped

Bathroom Rotation- Bathrooms

Each Time:

  • Sink, toilet, tub cleaned

  • Tile walls, tubs, and showers cleaned and disinfected

  • Mildew chemically treated

  • Shower door scrubbed

  • Floor mopped

  • Carpets vacuumed

  • Mirrors polished

  • Chrome fixtures shined

  • Vanity top cleaned

  • General dusting

  • Cobwebs removed

Rotating Basis:

  • Tub and shower given extra attention

  • Shower door given extra attention

  • Grouting scrubbed

  • Baseboards hand wiped

  • Doors and door frames spot checked

  • Vanity fronts cleaned

  • Knick-knacks individually wiped

  • Floor scrubbed

Bedroom Rotation- Bedrooms, Hallways, Foyers, Stairs

Each Time:

  • General feather dusting

  • Flat surfaces hand wiped

  • Cobwebs removed

  • All readily accessible floors vacuumed

  • Vacuum and dust mop hard floors

  • Vacuum empty closet floors

Rotating Basis:

  • Baseboards hand wiped

  • Furniture polished

  • Knick-knacks hand wiped

  • Spot check doors and doorframes

  • Window sills and ledges wiped

  • Upholstery vacuumed

  • Carpet edges vacuumed

  • Under accessible furniture vacuumed

Living Room Rotation- Living Rooms, Family Rooms, Dens, Offices, Formal Dining Rooms

Each Time:

  • General feather dusting

  • Flat surfaces hand wiped

  • Cobwebs removed

  • All readily accessible floors vacuumed

  • Stairs vacuumed

  • Vacuum and dust mop hard floors

Rotating Basis:

  • Baseboards hand wiped

  • Furniture polished

  • Knick-knacks hand wiped

  • Spot check doors and doorframes

  • Window sills and ledges wiped

  • Upholstery vacuumed

  • Carpet edges vacuumed

  • Under accessible furniture vacuumed
